I think that if it's only "money power" that Europe has within the film industry, it's not a problem within the freedom of making movies.

If the producers can still decide about the quality and quantity of the movie, there is no difference in Europe funding the film industry or not. On the contrary, they could protect privacy issues, piracy, the freedom of movie making etc.

We should be glad to have Europe helping the film industry.
